Color Wheel

Are you about to give up? Just can't find the right colors for your page? Well, here is the solution for you!

Spin the color wheel and get a selection of three random colors. The color wheel randomizes among some 16 million colors. And since each spin produces three different colors, that gives endless combinations. (or 2 to the power of 70 or so, which is a very large number). Enough to keep anyone busy for a while.

Note: The color wheel built using flash technology which might not be compatible with all browsers and devices. I am currently working on an updated version.

So, are we just leaving our color selection to chance?

No, not really-- not unless you decide to go with the very first color combination you get, no matter what it looks like. Just spin till you get colors that you are happy with.

You will probably be surprised by how often you will get combinations that look very pleasing to the eye.

I think one good thing about this approach (as opposed to sitting down before a blank monitor to think about what colors to use) is that you never know what is going to show up. And you might find a good color combination that you had would never even have thought about on your own. And you can always take a color you like and plug it into the Color Wizard to get the theoretical matching colors.

Just keep in mind that the colors are seen against a neutral background and that they are displayed in small areas. The perception of a color can change quite a bit once you have it covering all of your screen.
